fairandfunky Fairtrade Conference for Primary Schools – Friday 28th February 2020 – Halifax Minster

The fairandfunky Fairtrade Conference brings together Primary Schools from across Yorkshire to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight. The conference will ignite enthusiasm and interest in both pupils and teachers to maintain awareness and understanding of Fairtrade and how it can be taught within busy classrooms.

Interactive workshops involving creative arts, drama, real life stories, and chocolate tasting will take delegates on a Fairtrade Adventure and discover how to take a break with Fairtrade!

The conference is supported by The Fairtrade Foundation and Eco-Schools, and will help schools progress on both the Fairtrade Schools Award and ‘Eco-Schools’ journey.  During lunch delegates will be able to enjoy networking opportunity with sponsors and workshop providers and shop in the ethical marketplace.

fairandfunky Fairtrade Conference for Secondary Schools – Wednesday 4th March 2020 – Honley High School

 

The fairandfunky Fairtrade Conference for Schools at Honley High School brings together Secondary Schools from across Yorkshire to ignite enthusiasm and interest in both pupils and teachers for local and global sustainability. The conference will link with the Eco-Schools programme and Fairtrade Schools Award, providing evidence for each of these award schemes. Interactive workshops will develop a deeper understanding on trade justice issues, citizenship, co-operative values in business, and the Fairtrade system.

 

Leading workshop providers and business leaders from fairandfunky, Rose Condo, Trading Visions and Central England Co-operative  – will facilitate interactive sessions through drama, debate and presentations, involving:  global supply chains, international trade relations, food sustainability, and co-operative business – providing plenty of food for thought!

The fairandfunky Fairtrade Conference: brings together Primary Schools from across Kirklees to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight. The conference will ignite enthusiasm and interest in both pupils and teachers to maintain awareness and understanding of Fairtrade and how it can be taught within busy classrooms.

 

Interactive workshops involving creative arts, drama, real life stories, and chocolate tasting from fairandfunky, Fair Grounds, Couer De Xocolat and Suma Wholefoods will take delegates on a Fairtrade Adventure and discover how to take a break with Fairtrade!

 

The conference is supported by The Fairtrade Foundation and Eco-Schools, and will help schools progress on both the Fairtrade Schools Award and ‘Eco-Schools’ journey.  During lunch delegates will be able to enjoy networking opportunity with sponsors and workshop providers and shop in the ethical marketplace. The event will close with certificate presentations.

fairandfunky Climate Change ‘ECO’ Conference for Primary Schools Wednesday 22nd April 2020 – Holmfirth High School

More details to follow in January 2020…..We are working with students from Holmfirth High School to host a conference for Holme Valley Primary Schools…..a day full of creative workshops on local and global sustainability issues. Funded by The Cooperative Local Community Fund in Holmfirth.
