SCRAPtastic at Paddock Community Trust – Friday 26th July, Monday 29th July and Monday 12th August


This Summer we are part of the brilliant programme from Kirklees Youth Alliance bringing free, fun Summer clubs to Kirklees.

 

Join us at Paddock Community Trust for lots of SCRAPtastic activities at the following dates and times:

Friday 26th July: 10am – 11:30am and 11:45am – 1:15pm

Monday 29th July: from 12pm

Monday 12th August: from 12pm

School Uniform Swap Shop – DRAM Centre, Dalton – Thursday 1st August – 11am-3pm


Bring your old school uniform along to swap for (nearly) new and join us for a SCRAPtastic activity using old and waste fabrics.

Smoothie Bike AND SCRAPtastic at Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival – St George’s Square, Huddersfield – Friday 2nd August – 10am – 12noon and 1pm-3pm

Join us at the fabulous Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival to take part in SCRAPtastic and make a Fairtrade smoothie! Use pedal power to make your own Fairtrade smoothie for just £1 per smoothie and then create your own hanging fish mobile using recycled materials – £1 per crafter.

 

Find us in the Children’s Zone near the Kings Head car park!

 

 

Summer SCRAPtastic at Tolson Museum, Huddersfield – Wednesday 7th August – 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm

Join us at Tolson Museum on Wednesday 7th August for a Summer Holiday SCRAPtastic, making Yorkshire flags and animal masks!

 

We’re delighted to bring our popular family workshop back to the museum and will host workshops throughout the day where children of all ages can create their own art work using recycled materials!

 

There are two workshop sessions: between 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm. The cost is £3.50 per person. No need to book – just turn up on the day and bring your friends!

 

PLEASE NOTE: The session runs from 11am till 1pm and then from 2pm till 4pm. 

 

Summer SCRAPtastic at Batley Garden Centre – Wednesday 14th  and Wednesday 21st August – 10am to 12pm 

Join us at Batley Garden Centre for Summer Holiday SCRAPtastics, making flower/bee mobiles on Wednesday 14th August and recycled frames on Wednesday 21st August!

 

We’re delighted to bring our popular family workshop back to the garden centre  where children of all ages can create their own art work using recycled materials!

 

No need to book – just turn up on the day and bring your friends!

 

 

Summer SCRAPtastic at Totties Garden Centre – Thursday 15th, Friday 16th, Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd August – 9:30am to 11am 

Join us during the Summer holidays for SCRAPtastic workshop at Totties Garden Centre and The Olive Tree Cafe. Join us on the following dates for different recycled crafts:

 

  • Thursday 15th August – make your own recycled animal masks
  • Friday 16th August – create piggy bottle banks
  • Thursday 22nd August – design a beautiful flower and bee mobile
  • Friday 23rd August – craft a SCRAPtastic swallow!

 

Workshop cost is £3.50 per child, payable on the day. Suitable for children aged 3 – 12 years. Parents are expected to stay with their children as they craft. Whilst the children craft you can enjoy a coffee and a piece of cake and enjoy the fantastic views over the Holme Valley. Great fun for all the family.
