Recycling Workshops

boy with butterfly (below text 5)fairandfunky recycling workshops cover a number of themes, and develop knowledge and understanding of local and global sustainable issues. In each workshop students design, make and create individual artworks from recycled materials.

Learning objectives

  • To develop an understanding of sustainable development with particular regard to recycling
  • To create an independent piece of artwork from recycled materials
  • To develop a sense of social justice and moral responsibility
  • To develop speaking and listening skills
  • To develop an understanding of a sense of place in the world

 

The recycling workshops work towards reaching the following National Curriculum guidelines: 

  • Citizenship: Preparing to play an active role as citizen
  • Art: Design, make and create an independent art work
  • English Speaking and Listening En1: Group discussion and interaction; presentations to peers and fairandfunky staff

 

Lion masks (front page)These 90 minute recycling workshops cost £150 and assumes a class size of 30 children. This includes two members of staff and all material costs.
