Fairtrade Super Heroes

Fairtrade SCRAPtastic are interactive and creative workshops introducing Fairtrade to early years and KS1 or deepening knowledge and understanding with KS2. In each workshop students discover the importance of Fairtrade to farmers around the world and create individual artworks from recycled materials to carry the Fairtrade message out of the classroom. Please click here to see the full range of Fairtrade SCRAPtastic workshops.

Fairtrade Super Heroes is suitable for Early Years and KS1 and focuses on the Fairtrade mark, taking students on a journey to the supermarket. With insightful questioning and video the workshop enables students to understand the importance of Fairtrade, what the Fairtrade mark looks like and what it means. Each student then makes their own Fairtrade Super Hero masks using recycled Fairtrade materials, to spread the Fairtrade message out of the classroom.

“This enjoyable, hands on workshop for our Year 1 students enabled them to really get to grips with the meaning of ‘fair’. An informative session which will kick-start research into different Fairtrade products.” Archibald Primary, Teacher Feedback.
