Be, be, BE an Agent for Change – World Fairtrade Day celebrations

To celebrate World Fairtrade Day we held a Schools Conference at Halifax Minster  – we had a brilliant day, ending with a very special song written especially for the event by Cheryl Camm from Sea Pie Parcel:

What do you get if you assemble a bunch of red and pink roses, a Tibetan Singing Bowl, a colourful Thai pointy hat and a bunch of bananas (all Fairtrade items of course), eager children from nine local schools, several teachers, the beautiful and resonant Halifax Minster, a cheery composer and assorted sound producing paraphernalia? Oh, and the boundless imagination, enthusiasm and commitment of Helen and Sophie from fairandfunky?

Well, four brand new compositions by groups of children, lots of information about Fairtrade practises around the world, strategies for being that agent for change, and the world premiere of a new fairandfunky song.

This video blog will tell you the whole story and allow you to hear the fruits of everyone’s musical labour at the 2016 fairandfunky Fairtrade Schools Conference:
